Trump will attend the "Crypto Assets and AI Innovators" dinner, with a single get on board ticket costing 1.5 million dollars.
On May 6, CNBC reported that Trump had scheduled two cryptocurrency-themed dinners this month — one for deep-pocketed political donors and the other for "memecoin" millionaires. The first dinner, scheduled for Monday, raised $1.5 million per person, making it one of the most expensive political fundraisers in recent times. The second dinner will take place on May 22, where participants will have access to Trump's inner circle, however, not through cash donations, but by holding TRUMP tokens. The "Crypto & AI Innovators Dinner," hosted by MAGA Inc., will be held on May 5 and will be attended by Trump and David Sacks. The committee that received the funding, MAGA Inc., is a pro-Trump Super PAC (Super PAC). It's unclear how this PAC leveraged the millions of dollars it raised through a series of dinner dinners in the spring. The crypto community has rejoiced at Sacks' growing influence in Washington, saying he and other Trump-appointed officials have helped bring about a policy shift that has resulted in a series of regulatory victories across multiple federal agencies, described by many industry executives as a 180-degree turn from the policies of President Joe Biden's administration.
