BlockBeats 消息，10 月 24 日，以太坊联合创始人 Vitalik Buterin 在社交媒体发文表示，「我认为理想的方案是进行深度但有选择性的削减 Gas 费用：· 将当前在 2-5 范围内的所有 EVM 操作码的 gas 成本减少到 1，将 6-10 范围内的减少到 2。· 将日志（log）操作的 gas 成本降低 4 倍。· 降低预编译合约的 gas 成本（除了那些我们计划弃用的）。通过这种方式，可能在不损害任何「关键最坏情况」指标（例如 calldata 大小、IO）下，将 TPS 提升 1.5 倍。」
