Gate.io 11/23/19, the US Cable News Network quoted Fabian Hoffman, a missile technology and nuclear strategy researcher at Oslo University, as saying that the anti-missile systems manufactured by the United States and Israel are capable of intercepting the 'Hazelnut' intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile. Hoffman stated that defense systems such as the Standard Missile-3 from Aegis or land-based Aegis, the 'Arrow-3' missile defense system, and the 'THAAD' anti-missile system can counter it. Hoffman also mentioned that due to the multiple warheads launched by the 'Hazelnut' missile, a large number of interceptors are needed to shoot it down, which is very expensive. The US Cable News Network also reported that Ukraine currently does not possess these air defense systems.
