[The U.S. House of Representatives Advances the So-Called "Big and Beautiful" Bill] According to CCTV News, on July 2 local time, the U.S. House of Representatives conducted multiple rounds of procedural votes to advance President Trump's massive tax and spending bill, known as the "Big and Beautiful" bill. This is a crucial threshold before the bill can enter formal debate and voting procedures. If all procedural votes pass, the House will enter formal debate and voting procedures on the bill. Currently, there are no results for the aforementioned procedural votes. On July 1, the U.S. Senate passed the so-called "Big and Beautiful" bill, strongly pushed by President Trump, by a narrow majority and submitted it to the House. Since this version has significant modifications compared to the one previously passed by the House, the bill needs to be approved again by the House before being submitted to the President for signature to become law.
