OpenSea records the highest monthly user count since 2023 as OS2 exits Beta.
The NFT market OpenSea has just reported the highest monthly active user count since mid-2023, with 467,322 users in May, following the launch of the OS2 platform. This increase comes after OS2 officially launched on May 29, allowing NFT and token trading across 19 blockchain networks, including Solana. The new platform also introduces the Voyages reward system to encourage user participation.
Despite the increase in the number of users, the trading volume in May only reached 81 million USD, much lower than the peak of 5 billion USD in January 2022. Users are awaiting OpenSea's native SEA token, hoping that their participation may influence future airdrops. Marketing Director Adam Hollander emphasized the importance of establishing solid utility before the token release.
