What Is Humanity Protocol? Building the Future of Decentralized Identity in Web3

Humanity Protocol utilizes palm print recognition and zero-knowledge proofs to build a decentralized human identification network, achieving protection against Sybil attacks, fair token distribution, and multi-scenario identification.

In the crypto world, “who are you” has become unprecedentedly important. In the face of bots, Sybils, and the increasingly rampant fake accounts, Humanity Protocol proposes a fundamental solution: identify humans with “palm prints,” protect privacy with “zero-knowledge proofs,” and link on-chain real identities with “Verifiable Credentials.”

What is Humanity Protocol?

Humanity Protocol is a blockchain-based identification protocol that confirms each user is a unique, real human being through non-intrusive palm scanning. It aims to address the risk of Sybil attacks caused by anonymity in traditional blockchains and provides a globally applicable human identification network.

How does Proof-of-Humanity work?

PoH (Proof-of-Humanity) is the core of the protocol, generating a unique human identification code (Human ID) by scanning the user’s palm print. The palm print image is not stored but transformed into an irreversible mathematical representation and compared with existing data to confirm whether it is a new user. The verification process is supported by a CNN model, ensuring the uniqueness of each identification.

Palm print recognition: biometric verification under privacy protection

Humanity uses two methods to complete fingerprint recognition:

  • Mobile app scan palm print (basic authentication)
  • Use the dedicated hardware Humanity Scanner for palm print + vein verification (full authentication)

All data is processed through zero-knowledge encryption to ensure that user privacy is not compromised. In the future, fingerprint verification will also be used to prevent bot attacks and achieve on-chain real-name participation.

Identification and Verifiable Credentials Applications

By completing PoH, users will obtain Verifiable Credentials (VCs), which are on-chain digital identity credentials. These VCs can be scaled for:

  • On-chain KYC (real-name verification)
  • DAO voting rights certificate
  • Education and work experience certification
  • event tickets, facial recognition verification
  • compliance trading of stablecoins and other application scenarios

Users can independently choose which credentials to disclose, and all verification processes are completed through the ZK mechanism, without leaking any private data.

Introduction to $H Token and Fairdrop Model

The native token $H of Humanity Protocol will be launched on June 25, 2025, along with the first “Fairdrop” airdrop:

  • Only real people verified through PoH can receive.
  • Strongly resist robot and wool-pulling behavior
  • Priority allocation for Kaito token holders, active Discord members, early users, etc.

Fairdrop is a fair revolution that distributes real value to the most genuine human participants in the community.

The total supply of the $H token is 10 billion, of which 24% is allocated to the ecological fund, 18% is distributed for identification rewards, 19% is for early contributors, and 10% is reserved for investors. The remaining shares include the foundation treasury (12%), community incentives (12%), and strategic reserves (5%). The overall distribution balances ecological incentives with long-term development, focusing on supporting real user participation and a fair airdrop mechanism.

Summary: A palm print connects the entire Web3 identification.

Humanity Protocol is driving the evolution of Web3 towards a human-centric network. Whether it’s on-chain governance, fair airdrops, compliant payments, or access control systems and education certifications in the real world, all can be established based on this “palm print + ZK + blockchain” system. The future belongs to humanity, and Humanity Protocol is building the “on-chain network of real humans.”
