London Stock Exchange Sets Date: It Will List Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Products! - Coin Newsletter

The London Stock Exchange (LSE), the world's third-largest stock exchange, has set a date for listing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency products.

The London Stock Exchange said on March 25 that exchange-traded bonds (ETN) for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) will begin trading on May 28. The LSE has previously given the green light to Bitcoin and Ethereum listings in line with permission from the UK's financial regulator FCA.

In the statement made at the time, it was stated that as of the second quarter of 2024**, Bitcoin and Ethereum ETN applications will start to be accepted.

The LSE also made the following statements in the statement:

When choosing this date, we took into account that we needed to make sure that the issuers met the requirements outlined earlier. In addition, thanks to this date, issuers will have time to prepare documents

The exchange will be accepting applications for trading these ETNs starting April 8. As a result of the approvals to be made until May 22, it was stated that the listings will be subject to the approval of the FCA.
