Metaplanet Increases Bitcoin Holdings, Now Holds 16 Thousand Coins

Metaplanet Inc has announced a massive purchase of Bitcoin along with the creation of a new all-time high (ATH) at the level of US$120 thousand. It is known that this Japanese investment company has just acquired an additional 797 Bitcoin at an average price of 17.3 million Japanese yen per BTC, totaling 13.7 billion yen on Monday (14/07).
With this latest accumulation, Metaplanet's Bitcoin holdings increased to 16,352 Bitcoin. The average purchase value of its entire portfolio is recorded at around 14.6 million yen per piece, where the total funds that have been disbursed amount to 239 billion yen.
The company stated that performance metrics such as BTC Yield, BTC Gain, and BTC Yen Gain are the main indicators of their Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
"BTC Yield reflects the growth ratio of the total amount of BTC to the fully diluted share count, and is used to assess the effectiveness of this strategy for shareholders," wrote Metaplanet in its official statement.
It is known that from July 1 to July 14, the company recorded a BTC Yield of 19.4%, with an additional 2,590 BTC if there are no new share issuances. In fact, the company has recorded profits reaching 45 billion yen.
