Corporate investment surges as Blockchain applications and asset allocation advance side by side.
Enterprises and investors are actively embracing Blockchain technology to promote industry development.
The recently released "Crypto Asset Status Report" shows that in the first half of 2025, large enterprises and global asset management companies continue to increase their layout and investment in the Blockchain field.
The report indicates that 60% of senior executives in large enterprises stated that their companies are engaged in on-chain projects, with the average number of projects per company increasing from 5.8 last year to 9.7, a growth of 67%. About 20% of respondents view Blockchain projects as a core element of their future strategy, an increase of 47% compared to the previous year.
The application scenarios of blockchain are expanding from the financial and technology sectors to multiple industries such as retail, healthcare, automotive, and food. Companies are piloting in areas like payment, supply chain tracking, and identity credentials. 38% of executives believe that on-chain tools can bring incremental sales, and 37% are actively planning more deployment solutions.
Investment in resources is also increasing, with nearly half of the surveyed companies indicating that their capital expenditures on Blockchain have grown over the past year. In the past three quarters, large enterprises have announced a total of 46 different Web3 projects, setting a new historical record.
Institutional investors have demonstrated a proactive attitude similar to that of corporations through direct market participation. The ten largest spot Bitcoin ETFs have cumulatively attracted $50 billion in inflows, which is twice the amount of the best-performing traditional ETF's first-year inflow. The Ethereum fund attracted $3.5 billion in capital in its first quarter after listing.
The survey shows that 83% of institutional investors plan to increase their cryptocurrency positions this year, with 59% intending to allocate more than 5% of their managed assets to this field. 73% of investors already hold tokens other than Bitcoin and Ethereum, and 76% expect to invest in tokenized real-world assets by 2026.
Asset management companies point out that product availability and liquidity depth are key factors driving this trend. Bitcoin ETFs have established a stable daily trading volume that can rival mature stock funds, providing conveniences for large institutional investors. At the same time, the growth of treasury-backed stablecoins and the $21 billion tokenized bond market are providing more investment options for the fixed-income sector.
The synchronous growth of enterprise blockchain deployment and portfolio configuration has formed a virtuous cycle. Enterprise projects generate on-chain transaction volume and data, enhancing market transparency; institutional capital inflows deepen market liquidity, encouraging suppliers to build compliant infrastructure.
Regulatory clarity is seen as the key to connecting these two trends. 90% of large enterprise executives and 60% of investors believe that clear federal regulations are the main driving force behind further development.
Currently, executives continue to budget for on-chain pilot projects, and asset management companies are injecting new funds into investment tools related to crypto assets, marking the collaborative advancement of the operational implementation of Blockchain technology and asset allocation, jointly pushing the industry forward.
