CoinVoice has recently learned that, according to CoinDesk, the encryption exchange Bitvavo has obtained the "Regulation on Markets in Crypto-Assets" (MiCA) license issued by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM), allowing it to operate in 30 countries within the European Economic Area.

Since the regulatory system officially came into effect in December last year, numerous encryption companies have applied for this license. MiCA was implemented in 2023, covering the encryption asset regulatory rules for the 27 EU countries as well as Iceland, Norway, and Liechtenstein.
