The cryptocurrency cold wallet manufacturer Trezor warned its users about a new type of scam targeting them.
Hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has issued a security warning against a new phishing attack targeting its users.

The company announced that attackers exploited Trezor's contact form to send fake support responses, thereby impersonating legitimate Trezor support and requesting wallet backups from users.
The statement from Trezor included the following expressions:

"The attackers submitted support requests on behalf of certain addresses using our contact form. As a result of these requests, our system automatically sent responses that appeared to be Trezor support messages. These emails are completely fake and phishing attempts."
The company reiterated that wallet backups must be kept strictly confidential and issued the following warning:
"Never share your wallet backup. Trezor will never ask you for this information. Your wallet backup should always remain offline and private."

Trezor stated that there was no email data leak in the incident and announced that the system is currently secure. Additionally, it added that the contact form can continue to be used and that efforts are ongoing to prevent similar abuses in the future.
