Today is very critical for Cryptocurrency in the U.S.: An event that will shape the agenda is expected to be announced in the coming hours.
The House of Representatives Republicans plan to present the updated text of the bill regarding the structure of the cryptocurrency market today.
According to the information obtained by Crypto in America, the text of the bill will be introduced during a "pro forma" session, which is a brief and procedural session held while the Parliament is on recess.
These sessions generally do not involve legislative activities, but they can be used formally to submit bills when lawmakers are outside of Washington.
The updated text follows the draft proposal shared by a coalition of leading Republican figures in the House of Representatives earlier this month. Among these figures are French Hill, Chairman of the Financial Services Committee, G.T. Thompson, Chairman of the Agriculture Committee, Bryan Steil, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Digital Assets, and Dusty Johnson, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Digital Assets of the Agriculture Committee.
The bill expected to establish the basic framework for the regulation and trading of the American digital asset market represents the next step in the comprehensive regulatory efforts undertaken jointly by the White House and the Republicans. Aimed at regulating the $3.4 trillion cryptocurrency sector in the U.S., this legislation seeks to establish clear rules at the federal level.
An updated session titled "American Innovation and the Future of Digital Assets: From Draft to a Functional Framework" is planned to be held on June 4 in the Parliament's Financial Services Committee. Although a session is anticipated on June 10 for evaluating various legislative proposals, it is still unclear whether this bill will be included in that process.
This move in the House of Representatives coincides with the period when the Senate is preparing to make changes to the stablecoin bill prepared in partnership by the two parties, the GENIUS Act. The Senate aims to vote on this bill and send it to the House.
Speaking at the annual Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas this week, Bryan Steil and Tom Emmer expressed hope that both bills will be able to make progress in the window of time ahead of President Trump's August recess. Steil said that the passage of both bills will usher in a "golden age of digital assets" in the United States.
