The Hyperlane Foundation announced that approximately 8.8 million unclaimed HYPER tokens obtained from the latest airdrop will be redirected to promote the future expansion of the Hyperlane network.
In a social media update, the foundation announced that approximately 88% of the HYPER airdrop has already been claimed. The remaining 12%, which roughly corresponds to 8.8 million HYPER, will be reused to support various ecosystem growth initiatives.
According to the foundation, approximately 8.2 million HYPER will be used to support the initial two quarterly expansion reward allocations through HyperStreaks, a program designed to promote continuous activity within the Hyperlane ecosystem. Additionally, 600,000 HYPER will continue to finance the Hyperlane Pilot program, which aims to bring new projects and developers to the platform.
On April 16, the Foundation officially confirmed that the pre-application phase has ended.
In our weekly crypto calendar news, we reported that Hyperlane will distribute the tokens airdropped on Tuesday to community members who claimed them. According to the developers, a total of 57% of the HYPER supply will be distributed to members.
