A US court allows Celsius to continue its appeal against Tether over a $4 billion Bitcoin liquidation violation.
BlockBeats news, on July 2, according to Judge Martin Glenn's order on June 30, the U.S. bankruptcy court ruled that Celsius Network can continue to file multiple claims in its lawsuit against stablecoin issuer Tether. According to the documents, the court allows Celsius to pursue allegations that Tether unfairly liquidated tens of thousands of Bit by accepting preferential transfers in the weeks leading up to Celsius's collapse in 2022, violating U.S. bankruptcy law. The core of the case involves over 57,000 BTC, which Celsius claims were either improperly seized, prematurely liquidated, or transferred in a manner exceeding the agreed terms. The company argues that if these assets had been retained, their current value would exceed $4 billion.
