On July 2, The Block reported that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on a cryptocurrency wallet address associated with Aeza Group on Tuesday. Aeza Group is a Russian "bulletproof hosting" service provider. "Bulletproof hosting" is a type of web hosting service designed to evade scrutiny from law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and cybersecurity organizations, often used for illegal or malicious activities. OFAC has added four core members of Aeza Group to the "Specially Designated Nationals" (SDN) list and sanctioned four entities related to its operations. This includes Aeza's main cryptocurrency address on the Tron blockchain.
