Self Labs acquisition digital identity protocol OpenPassport, and launch Zero-Knowledge Proof protocol Self Protocol

ChainCatcher message, the Self Labs team announced the launch of the Zero-Knowledge Proof protocol Self Protocol, previously Self Labs has acquisitioned the digital identity protocol OpenPassport. Self Labs CEO Eric Nakagawa said, "Today, every on-chain project faces the same challenge: how to ensure that its application covers unique users without compromising privacy. Our protocol provides the necessary infrastructure for projects to guarantee verifiable identity credentials, while protecting user data without leaking any underlying information or conducting intrusive procedures - something that has been missing in the on-chain economy and the entire Internet." OpenPassport co-founder and current co-founder of Self Labs, Florent Tavernier, said: "I am very happy to join Self Labs, combining our expertise in ZK technology and identity solutions to extend Self Protocol to on-chain and other areas."
