Dubai regulators warn of risks associated with memes and stress the need to comply with regulations

The Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has issued a warning on the risks associated with meme coins, warning investors not to invest in speculative and unregulated assets, which the regulator said are speculative, volatile and vulnerable to market manipulation, while urging investors to exercise caution when receiving promises of unrealistic returns, stressing that such promises are often indicative of fraud.
