Scarlett Johansson stated that due to OpenAI's actions, she has hired legal counsel, and after her legal counsel sent two letters to Sam Altman, OpenAI "reluctantly agreed" to remove Sky.
"In response to this, Sam Altman stated that Sky's voice 'was never intended to be similar to hers.' 'Before contacting Ms. Johnson, we had already selected an actor to voice Sky. Out of respect for Ms. Johnson, we have temporarily suspended the use of Sky's voice in our product. We apologize for not communicating better with Ms. Johnson.'"
