As of the close of that day, the price of light crude oil futures for August delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange rose by $1.88, closing at $68.45 per barrel, with a rise of 2.82%; the price of Brent crude oil futures for September delivery rose by $1.72, closing at $70.36 per barrel, with a rise of 2.51%.
