OpenAI poached four senior engineers from TSL, xAI, and Meta.

CoinVoice has learned that, according to Wired, the artificial intelligence research company OpenAI has poached four senior engineers from competitors TSL, xAI, and Meta to join its expanded team. The newly joined engineers include former Vice President of Software Engineering at TSL David Lau, former Head of Infrastructure Engineering at xAI Uday Ruddarraju, xAI Infrastructure Engineer Mike Dalton, and AI researcher Angela Fan from Meta.

OpenAI spokesperson Hannah Wong stated: "We are excited to welcome these new members to our expanded team. Our approach is to continue building and bringing together world-class infrastructure, research, and product teams to accelerate our mission and bring the benefits of AI to billions of people." The addition of these new employees comes at a time when competition for talent and resources among major players in the AI field is intensifying.
