Musk: Besant is Soros's puppet, he can't even do math.

After the incident with the horse, Musk and U.S. Treasury Secretary Becerra also exchanged barbs from a distance.

On Sunday evening local time, Musk commented on social media that Bessent is a puppet of Soros. He is a political science student and can't even learn math. A year ago, my poll results were very positive, which is why Trump values me so much.

Musk made the above comments under a video of a Bescent interview that was retweeted by a X user. In the interview, Bescent stated, "The principles of DOGE are very popular, but if you look at the polls, you will find that Elon is not popular." He believes that Musk's corporate board is not so keen on the Tesla CEO announcing his new "American Party."

A brawl broke out in the White House, the feud between Musk and Besant.

During Musk's tenure in the Trump administration, Besant and Musk clashed multiple times.

Wall Street Journal previously mentioned that during an argument, the usually mild-mannered Besant was completely enraged, shouting "Go to hell," to which Musk loudly retorted, "Say it again, louder." The conflict between the two extended from the Oval Office to the hallway, startling Italian Prime Minister Meloni, who was visiting Trump at the time, and ultimately requiring assistants to intervene to separate the two.

The argument escalated to personal attacks. Besant accused Musk of exaggerating the budget cuts on DOGE with no progress. Musk retaliated by calling Besant "Soros's puppet" and mocked him for his past failure in managing a hedge fund.

The direct trigger for the argument at that time was the disagreement over the appointment of the IRS leader. Musk had hoped to appoint Gary Shapley as the acting head of the IRS, while Besant preferred to appoint Treasury Deputy Secretary Michael Faulkender. Ultimately, Besant's candidate received Trump's backing, which was seen as a sign of cooling relations between Trump and Musk.

This time, the remote clash between Musk and Bessent coincides with a fierce conflict between Musk and Trump over fiscal policy, as their relationship deteriorates once again.

The "Big Beautiful Bill" with a spending scale of $3.3 trillion, recently signed by Trump, has been publicly criticized by Musk, who stated that the bill would exacerbate the U.S. debt crisis and threatened to fund primary opponents of any congressional members who support the bill.

Wall Street Journal previously mentioned that on July 5, local time, Musk announced the establishment of a new political party independent of the Republican and Democratic parties - the "American Party," claiming that the party would represent "80% of the centrist voters" in American society and strive to secure a seat in Congress through elections.

The day after, when asked how he viewed American billionaire Elon Musk's announcement of a new political party, President Trump stated that Musk "can find some fun in it," but he believes it is "absurd."
