According to Gate News bot and CoinDesk, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the establishment of a digital asset advisory committee at the mayoral residence summit. The committee is composed of industry experts and is dedicated to promoting fintech job opportunities and advancing the city's digital transformation. The committee chair is expected to be determined in the coming weeks.

Adams also announced that New York City is studying the on-chain storage of public documents such as birth and death records for relatives to query and obtain relevant documents.
