The British Museum launches Dürer's "Rhinoceros" blockchain artwork, blending traditional craftsmanship with digital technology.

Gate.io News bot message, the British Museum has partnered with Asprey Studio to transform Albrecht Dürer's classic work "Rhinoceros" from 1515 into 11 pure silver sculptures. These sculptures use Bitcoin blockchain inscription technology to record provenance information. Buyers first receive a digital certificate, followed by the handcrafted physical sculptures made by British professional craftsmen.

Asprey Studio stated that this project showcases the combination of Renaissance art and contemporary digital technology. According to Decrypt, the British Museum had previously issued NFTs of works by artists such as Katsushika Hokusai through the LaCollection platform, and collaborated with The Sandbox to develop a metaverse experience project.
