4月17日、コメルツ銀行のアナリスト、ハウク・シムソン氏は、欧州中央銀行(ECB)が木曜日に25ベーシスポイントの利下げを実施するというコンセンサス予想を受けて、ドイツの10年物国債利回りは2.5%をわずかに上回る水準で推移し、この水準を下回る可能性があると述べた。 シムソン総裁は、コメルツ銀行がドイツ国債の戦略的買い入れに固執しているのは、「ECBによる追加利下げのトーンが引き続き好ましいから」だと述べた。
