Ole Hansen, director of commodity strategy at Shengbao Bank, stated that after experiencing this year's record pump and the best annual return since 2010, the gold price may remain strong in 2025. In a report, Hansen stated that investors are increasingly turning to defense to protect and lock in returns before the end of the year. However, Hansen is optimistic about the gold outlook in 2025, as the uncertain world drives the demand of central banks and investors. Hansen added that fiscal instability, inflation instability, geopolitical concerns, and the imbalance of the US stock market may further push up the prices of safe-haven assets next year.
