José Maria Macedo, founding partner of Delphi Ventures, wrote in a post on X that after reading Ambient founder Doug Colkitt's X post (note: Colkitt predicted the content of Justin Drake's proposal at the ETH Foundation Core Research Institute yesterday), I was originally excited about the vision of ETH 3.0, but Justin Drake's actual proposal is disappointing. It is basically a refactored codebase that can achieve a block speed of 4 seconds and quantum resistance, which will be realized in 2029-2030. These upgrades alone are not enough to make ETH Layer1 competitive, or even to make people believe it is competitive. The ETH Foundation needs a bigger dream.
