BlockBeats news, on August 21st, FIL announced the launch of the second round of FIL-RetroPGF (Retrospective Public Goods Funding) program in the autumn of 2024. This program aims to provide traceable impact funding for the FIL ecosystem. The first round of FIL-RetroPGF has distributed over 200,000 FIL (approximately 1 million USD) to 95 projects. The second round of the program will provide more funding, simplify the application, voting, and allocation process, and improve user experience. The funds will be distributed through Drips on FVM. FIL-RetroPGF-2 will continue to cover multiple categories such as infrastructure, tools, education, protocol development, governance, and products, especially following FIL data entry, applications that enhance usability, FVM on-chain payment development, protocol development progress, cross-network connection projects, as well as reliable tools such as high-quality RPC providers, browsers, and dashboards.
