PANews reported on February 5th that Brett Adcock, the founder and CEO of Figure AI, announced today that the company has decided to terminate its partnership with OpenAI on the protocol. The reason is that a 'significant breakthrough' has been made in fully end-to-end humanoid robot AI, and the technology has been developed independently by the internal team. Figure AI stated that OpenAI is not focusing on embedded artificial intelligence, so it has decided to concentrate on its own research and development. In addition, there is analysis suggesting that OpenAI may be developing its own hardware. Adcock did not disclose specific details, but promised to demonstrate 'unprecedented' humanoid robot technology in the next 30 days.
