If you bought Bitcoin instead of every new iPhone, you’d have $250M
Do you know that if you bought Bitcoin instead of every new iPhone, you would have $250 million?
Well, it's not very likely that you must have thought about this analogy, but the crypto community is rather fun-loving and keeps comparing the king coin to other premium products such as gold, the fiat currency, and at times to the flagship mobile device offered by the tech giant Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL).
Apple's iPhones are among the most popular tech devices, which have gained immense popularity over the years due to high-resolution displays, highly sensitive cameras, and a thriving app ecosystem, among other factors.
Since the first iPhone in 2007, Apple has launched a new smartphone nearly every year. And the tech brand has created such a loyal user base across the globe that you will often find long queues of customers waiting to buy the latest device on the launch date itself every time Apple introduces a new iPhone.
However, Bitcoin, which was often dismissed as scam money, has been hitting new all-time highs (ATHs) over the past few years and garnered a loyal following of its own.
Now, what if you aren't so enamored of every newly launched iPhone and instead invested in Bitcoin?
From being priced at $199 in its earliest years to being priced at $999 in recent years, the iPhone has only gotten pricier If you didn't buy every new model and instead invested in Bitcoin, you would have accumulated 2,250 BTC by now.
As Bitcoin is trading at around $114,500 on Aug. 24, you would have $257.6 million in Bitcoin.
