BlackRock's Cryptocurrency Director Talked About Bitcoin (BTC) and Gold! Stunning Statements Were Made!
The Bitcoin 2025 Conference, regarded as the largest Bitcoin (BTC) event of the year 2025, started yesterday.
Many important names from the cryptocurrency sector, as well as from various political figures, participated. One of them was BlackRock, which holds a leading position in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
According to this, BlackRock Digital Assets President Robert Mitchnick spoke about Bitcoin at the Bitcoin 2025 conference.
Robert Mitchnick stated that when comparing Bitcoin with gold, BTC offers a much higher potential for increase and a lower potential for decrease than gold.
Despite this comparison, Mitchnick stated that Bitcoin and gold do not have to compete. Mitchnick expressed that both assets serve a similar purpose, acting as strong assets that help investors protect themselves against traditional financial risks.
Additionally, a BlackRock executive, noting that Bitcoin has solidified its place as a mainstream investment asset, argued that 2% of investment portfolios should be allocated to Bitcoin.
The BlackRock executive recently highlighted the modern advantages of Bitcoin. Unlike gold, Bitcoin can be transferred instantly to anywhere in the world at almost zero cost. According to Mitchnick, these features make Bitcoin attractive to both retail and institutional investors looking for strong alternatives to traditional safe-haven assets.
