Walrus announced a partnership with Pudgy Penguins to introduce a decentralized storage solution for Web3 IP.
According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on April 30, the blockchain storage protocol Walrus, built on Sui, announced a partnership with the well-known NFT project Pudgy Penguins to gradually migrate digital assets, including stickers and GIFs, to the Walrus network.
In the past, Pudgy Penguins faced challenges such as long-term accessibility of assets and consistency in multi-team collaboration when using centralized storage solutions. With Walrus, Pudgy Penguins will gain a decentralized storage solution that offers advantages like permanent storage, controllable permissions, and programmability.
At the Token2049 conference in Dubai, both parties disclosed during the "Inside the Igloo" themed event that in the initial phase of cooperation, they will deploy 1 TB of storage capacity through the Tusky platform of the Walrus ecosystem. Tusky will provide three core values: no technical barriers, asset traceability, and composite applications. In the next 12 months, both parties plan to expand the cooperation to 6 TB.
According to reports, Walrus is a next-generation storage protocol designed for AI Agents, on-chain applications, and enterprises dealing with large-scale unstructured data. Whether it's images, videos, audio files, or dynamic metadata, Walrus can efficiently, securely, and economically store them through its distributed node network.
